Every now and then our Activities Director likes to spice things up so she planned a Taste of Italy trip for our residents. No, they did not actually fly to Italy but they did the next best thing which was an outing to the local Olive Garden restaurant to enjoy some amazing Italian cuisine.

This is our Creekwood Church that visits and volunteers every second Saturday of each month. They do arts & craft with our residents and they enjoy the fellowship time so much. A special thanks to all the church members who do so much to encourage and uplift the spirits of our residents.

Getting Fancy for Father’s Day! Thank you to Alex and the Riverside Barber and Beauty Institute for providing a free haircut and shave for our residents. As you can see they were so happy and the family members were quite impressed with the results.

February is not only a time for celebrating Valentine’s Day but it’s also American Heart Month, a time when all people can focus on their cardiovascular health and raise their awareness about heart disease.

Taking care of your health has never been more important and thankfully there are many ways you can reduce your risk for developing heart disease. Being physically active, eating healthier foods, getting enough sleep, not smoking, and finding healthy ways to reduce stress can help prevent heart disease.
