Two million African-Americans who were enslaved are now searchable by name for the first time in history.

For generations, families were separated from their ancestors by slavery and missing records. Now, those names are being restored, in part thanks to this groundbreaking collaboration between Michigan State University and FamilySearch.

Below is a link to a campaign on FamilySearch that makes it easy to see which of your ancestors have descendants who need temple work . When you click on one of the couples on your tree with a green circle, the user interface for seeing which of their descendants needs temple -- and which ordinances they need -- is amazing. This can also help point you to places on the Family Tree where you can have a huge impact.
