🎶 Patrick’s Playlist: The Calming Power of Music 🎶🌿

Music has a way of transporting us. A simple melody can bring comfort, lift our spirits, or help us focus when our minds feel scattered. Science backs this up—music lowers stress hormones, boosts feel-good chemicals, and even helps regulate heart rate.

Patrick, my brother-in-law, knew this deeply. Born with cerebral palsy and other neurological challenges, he lived with love and kindness at his core. At his memorial, his caregivers shared how classical music was a constant source of peace in his life. Inspired by Patrick, we’ve put together a playlist of soothing, uplifting melodies to ease anxiety and bring a sense of calm. 🎵

January 1st, I set an intention: no processed sugar for the entire month. 🗓️ So far, I haven’t been perfect—there was that delicious chocolate cake at a friend’s 60th birthday party (how could I resist?). But you know what? I feel really good about my progress!

The journey toward balance isn’t about perfection—it’s about showing up, making mindful choices, and celebrating the wins along the way. That’s why I love tools like the Wheel of Life—they help us reflect on where we’re growing and where we can refocus, all with self-compassion.
