One of the #1 things I teach when working with weight loss clients is BALANCE. Just because you’re on a wellness journey doesn’t mean you have to completely deprive yourself. In fact, often times I find that this can be damaging psychologically resulting in more difficulty in the long run!

So buy the fun Halloween donuts and go trick-or-treating. But also hit the gym and prioritize protein and water. Don’t let the 1-day holiday become a month of self-sabotage. Put yourself first, which sometimes means just a bite of the donut and sometimes means the whole dang thing!

What a fun night out!! We made new friends, enjoyed some fun mocktails and other goodies & got to hang out with the coolest people. Thankful for nights like these in our beautiful small town ❤️

Ya'll... sometimes after seeing patients I'm just so happy I have to share. This woman (who gave permission to mention her) came to see me several months ago. Former providers had always told her everything was "normal" but she was absolutely miserable. Fatigue, body pains, swollen all the time... she just felt completely defeated.

Today, she reports: 20lb weight loss > improvement in joint pains > improvement in fatigue > improvement in mood > quit drinking and SMOKING > even less fatigue and joint pains > starting to exercise > finally feeling good for the first time in YEARS! And her labs were remarkable! I am so flipping happy for her I could shout it from the rooftops (I kind of am).

Stepping outside of what insurance demands and actually listening to my patients and developing a plan that works from them is so rewarding not just for the patients, clearly. 🖤
