It involves inserting thin, sterile needles (similar to acupuncture needles) into trigger points—tight bands of muscle or knots that contribute to pain and restricted movement. How It Works: The needle stimulates the trigger point, promoting a local twitch response, which helps release muscle tension. It improves blood flow and reduces inflammation in the affected area. The process helps reset the nervous system and decrease pain sensitivity. Conditions Treated with Dry Needling: Muscle pain and tightness, Myofascial trigger points, Chronic pain conditions (e.g., fibromyalgia), Headaches and migraines, Tendonitis and joint pain, Sports injuries, Postural dysfunction and movement restrictions.
