We want to take a moment to be transparent with our patients.
Healthcare isnโt a business that thrives on profit. Itโs a service built on care, compassion, and commitment. Rising costs (we all feel!) and poor insurance reimbursement (even with those high premiums you all pay ๐ข) continue to make it increasingly difficult for small, independent clinics like ours to continue the kind of personal, high-quality care we believe in.
Cash pay models are definitely where healthcare is going in the future!
It allows clinics to keep prices fair and the care patient-centered, without being limited by the restrictions and delays of insurance companies.
When we offer longer visits we are providing what we believe patients need to improve their health. But, this means we suffer financially due to insurance reimbursement not equaling what has been put into the visits.
Behind every visit is much more than time with your provider. There are staff wages, rent, business insurance, supplies and costs of submitting and often appealing insurance claims.
These hidden expenses are rarely considered when people think about the true cost of their care.
You all are not just patients but you are also a part of a movement!
We want to continue with the insurance model and hope each one of you will consider how important it is to help as much as you can.
