Protecting yourself after a tick bite-reducing the risk of Lyme disease or co-infections like Anaplasma, Babesia, or Bartonella:
🕷️ What to Do After a Tick Bite
1. Remove the Tick Promptly & Properly
Use fine-tipped tweezers to grasp the tick close to the skin and pull upward steadily.
Clean the area with alcohol, iodine, or hydrogen peroxide.
2. Save the Tick for Testing
Place the tick in a sealed container or Ziploc bag with a damp paper towel.
Label with date & location of bite.
✅ Optional: send to labs like TickReport or IGeneX for identification and pathogen testing.
3. Support the Immune System Immediately
Start immune-modulating herbs and nutrients:
💊 Vitamin C (2–4 g/day)
💊 Zinc (15–30 mg/day)
💊 Vitamin D (5,000IU/day)
🌿 Astragalus (high dose —1,000–3,000 mg/day for 30 days)
4. Start Herbal Antimicrobials (optional preventive)
If early support is desired or symptoms begin, consider:
🌿 Cat’s Claw
🌿 Andrographis
🌿 Japanese Knotweed
🌿 Berberine
5. Monitor for Symptoms
Watch for:
Fatigue
Flu-like symptoms
