The last day of EMS WEEK is one of remembrance of the passing of those who have served in the Emergency Medical Services. This year we have lost Billy Todd life member and past Captain just to name a couple of his accomplishments with our organization. We salute and honor those we have lost by continuing to serve the public with honor. We must remember the past to create the future.

EMS Week is upon us once again. It is the week the Country acknowledges the countless hours EMTs and Paramedics serve the public and respond to your needs. The Maple Shade First Aid Squad honors our EMTs for their dedication to the residents of Maple Shade. They are there 24/7 365 days a year responding to your EMS needs. I am honored to be associated with an organization that has served this township from 1939 till now and for many years to come. We honor the members who have come before us and look forward to the future. Happy EMS Week to our brothers and sisters in EMS and all of our mutual aid partners

It's the unfortunate plight of almost all EMS agencies. We provide a essential service to tye communities we serve. We love servicing the communities, but our funding is always political due to every Governmental Administration at the Federal level changing Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement. Most EMS agencies only recover 30% of what we bill and provide EMS coverage. The article offers alot of truths. We are one of these departments. We are helped by the Township,but our main source of revenue is Insurance billing. We will continue to serve the Residents of Maple Shade as we have for the past 80+ years. We appreciate all of your support.

The conversation about deeming EMS essential comes amid potential changes to Medicaid and Medicare the federal government is discussing under the administration of President Donald Trump.
