Spent most of my day outside of cell phone range in the wild spaces of nearby N Utah. I am so grateful that we live so close to these incredible mountains. And that I am able to hike and play and swim relatively pain free (sometimes). It’s an ebb and a flow. And I don’t take days like this for granted. My body is strong and capable and a miracle no matter my pain and symptoms levels at the moment. Days like this are simply one expression of living into and loving my entire human experience. Yes, it feels easier on days like today. Also? I practice it when I feel well and energetic so that when the pain and bed days arrive I have access to those tools then as well. I practice when it’s easier so I remember my tools when it isn’t. My whole human experience is valid and welcome. And so is yours. This kind of play isn’t always accessible at this point in my life. When it is? I know it’s because of the intentional engagement with movement practices like the ones I explore in the Restore Your Core®️ and RYC®️fit programs. Being able to play like this while navigating chronic illness, perimenopause, and the chaos of life is not something I take for granted. At various points of my life I have spent chunks of time couch/bed bound due to a variety of factors. Slow, steady, and deliberate movement practices that build functional strength and mobility have been a constantly supportive tool for my whole BEing throughout my life so far. My first vendor booth for my newborn business as a RYC®️ teacher! It was so lovely chatting with the guests at the Awakenings festival at today. Grateful, content, and happily exhausted.
