The water is on!

A note about water buckets:

The water buckets began as a project initiated by a man who would paint and attach handles to metal buckets, making them available for use at various spigots. After his passing, a woman contributed coffee cans to continue the tradition, but she too has since passed away. Now, many of the buckets are rusting, and while there is an effort to place one at each spigot, visitors are encouraged to bring their own watering cans to ensure they can access water easily.

Earth Day was founded in 1970 by Senator Ga***rd Nelson (WI) as a day of education about environmental issues. It is a day held to promote environmental awareness and calls for the protection of our planet.

Late yesterday afternoon we had two visitors at the cemetery, just across and north of the office! What an amazing sight to see!

GATE HOURS:

Beginning today, April 1, the cemetery gates will be open 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. These gate hours will be in effect through August 31.

And that's no joke!!
