At Children's Theraplay, we use a combination of feeding therapy approaches that help build the underlying sensory and motor skills needed for feeding to be more successful. We use play-based, curious, gradual exploration of food to present a just-right challenge. By respecting boundaries while we work on underlying skills, we develop a safe space for your child to take more risks with food.

As we mark 6 years since the 2020 pandemic shutdown began to shake our world, many kids are experiencing those echoes - meltdowns, clinginess, sleep issues, or big feelings resurfacing.

Even if they were very young at the time, such a widespread collective stressor may have had an impact.

Parents, if you're seeing this in your children, you're not alone. It's a normal response, and gentle support and routines can help. Talk to your child's therapist if needed!
