At Home With… The Dunnes!

Rod—an ice-cream-loving dentist—and Tinkey have been happily married for 51 years, building a life centered on love, routine, and a touch of sweetness.

They recently settled into one of Wi******er Gardens’ rare Wedgwood-style apartments—one of just two among 206 Independent Living residences—bringing along their beloved poodle, Harry, who’s right at home in their new space.

With the help of professional decorator Pat Pfaffenbach, their apartment was thoughtfully upgraded and designed to reflect both comfort and personality. Tinkey describes the feeling best: walking through the door is like stepping into “a warm hug.”

A meaningful part of their daily rhythm is faith—they attend Catholic Mass every single day, sometimes even twice, a tradition that continues to ground and inspire them.

Together, the Dunnes have created not just a home, but a lifestyle filled with warmth, devotion, and joy.

Like Liz Kalodner, who is last but certainly not least in this series. Her story is as bold and dynamic as the generations of women she represents. Liz built an extraordinary career that included serving as CEO of an online dating company and leading merchandise for major sports teams—all while breaking barriers in industries where women were often underrepresented.

Her journey has taken her around the world—from pitching international TV concepts to sharing a stage with Mother Teresa—and is filled with unforgettable moments that reflect both resilience and a sense of adventure.

💜Supporting the Fight Against Alzheimer’s 💜

Thank you to Abigale Roberts for leading our annual Alzheimer’s fundraising efforts. Together, we’re working toward our 2026 goal of $4,999!

On Friday, Theresa Daniels, Abigale, Raiyana Wright, and Monique Johns (left to right) hosted a bake sale for our team and residents. The event raised $291, bringing our total so far to $818.

The drive will end on May 17, and the proceeds will be donated to the Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
