We had an awesome “all ladies” ice cream outing to one of our favorite places to get a sweet treat, Cup and Cone WBL. They have the BEST soft serve ice cream hands down, along with the friendliest staff! After our treat we took a picturesque drive around White Bear Lake. It was a lot of fun and a great way to beat the heat yesterday!

Yesterday, our Carnival was an outstanding success, bringing together residents, friends, family, and staff for an enjoyable evening of backyard festivities, including a petting zoo, games, a bouncy house, and dunk tank, accompanied by live music and fair food, resulting in a full house and widespread laughter among residents and staff alike, further solidifying our sense of community and appreciation for our residents.

We packed up the legendary Maplewood Boden Bus and hit the road for a mini-adventure to Eau Claire, Wisconsin! Why, you ask? For a Cheese, Bread, and Beer Festival!

Our Executive Director’s family was repping their famous sheep’s cheese, and we were more than happy to be their biggest fans (and most enthusiastic taste testers).

The journey there was half the fun—complete with questionable GPS directions, high-quality bus banter, and a whole lot of snack talk. Once we arrived, we feasted like Midwestern royalty: fresh-baked bread, pretzels, more cheese than we knew what to do with (just kidding, we knew exactly what to do with it), mocktails, honey samples, chocolate pieces, and enough laughs to qualify as a cardio workout.

It was hot, it was beautiful, it was everything we needed. 10/10 would cheese again.

We had the most amazing time at the Como Zoo's "Senior Strolls" a few weeks ago, where we got to check out the Conservatory after hours. It was a magical experience to see the exotic plants and flowers, trees, and fish! We had a blast! Check out our slideshow for more fun photos!!
