We’re excited to share that Dr. Spartz and her two oldest children have officially registered to return to Honduras in 2026 with the Hackett Hemwall Patterson Foundation. This will be Dr. Spartz's 10th year participating in this mission trip.

After an incredibly meaningful week 2025—treating hundreds of patients and working side-by-side as a family—they’re thrilled to continue the mission. From providing vein care and helping manage chronic wounds to supporting clinic flow, this trip has become a powerful tradition of service for the Spartz family.

Salt is one of the chemicals that attract water, enabling water to stay in the blood which helps maintain blood volume. However, if you ingest too much salt, more water will remain in your blood vessels, increasing your blood volume. Increased blood volume makes it harder for your heart to pump blood around your body.
