If you decided to participate and take an ornament from our tree, please be aware that presents are due back at the facility on December 19!

🩵Maquoketa Care Center – Christmas Gift Donation Drive🎅🏻

We are excited to kick off our Secret Santa Gift Exchange for our residents. This year, we will be setting up a Christmas tree in our facility decorated with ornaments—each ornament representing one of our residents and their holiday wishes.

How You Can Participate:
• Stop by Maquoketa Care Center and select a random ornament from our Christmas tree.
• Each ornament includes instructions and a resident’s Christmas wish or gift idea.
• Please have the gift wrapped, labeled and brought back to the facility by Dec 19th!

Your generosity helps make the holidays brighter for our residents, many of whom may not have family nearby. Even one gift can make a meaningful difference.

The residents and staff here at Maquoketa Care Center have had a fun filled Thanksgiving Week!

Our residents participated in a Thanksgiving themed scavenger hunt, added to our thankful turkey tom, and was visited by our owners to hand out Thanksgiving gifts! Residents were given Maquoketa Care Center swag!

Staff were able to pick from Dutch Apple, Pecan and Andes Mint pies! Also a gift from our wonderul owners!

✨ Holiday Craft Season Has Begun! ✨

Our residents kicked off their first holiday crafts of the season on Friday, and the smiles were priceless!

We have our thankful turkey up! 🦃🍁

Reindeer necklaces were made!

🎄❄️ Ornaments for our trees are in the making!

We love seeing their creativity shine and the joy these moments bring to our community. Stay tuned as we continue to celebrate the season with more festive fun and meaningful activities! ❤️

We are pleased to announce that Erin Ihrig has accepted the position of Licensed Nursing Home Administrator at Maquoketa Care Center. Erin brings leadership experience and a passion for serving residents, families and staff with integrity and compassion. Please join us in welcoming her to the Maquoketa Care Center team!

It has been a busy couple of weeks here at Maquoketa Care Center!

🍿 Weekly Popcorn Thursday - Per our resident helper "this is the best popcorn in the Midwest!

🎗Staff Theme Day - last week we wore Pink for Breast Cancer!

So much fun jam packed into each and every day here at the center. We have included just a few photos of our happenings here but welcome any photos that visitors have taken during any of the above events!

👻🎃🕸️Trunk or Treat Update 👻🎃🕸️

With the forecast predicted for tomorrow evening we have decided to move our Trunk or Treat to INSIDE the facility from 430-6!

We will still have LOTS of candy to hand out and the residents are excited to see all the kiddos in their costumes!

PLUS…we have a special guest that will be greeting all the visitors!

We look forward to seeing everyone!
