General information

1 in 1700 babies are born with CDH in the United States. 50% of CDH babies will lose their fight before ever getting to go home. The remaining 50% may have still have struggles with feeding, constipation, acid reflux, asthma, chronic bronchitis, and more severe medical issues. Some of these CDH babies/children will lose their fight after years of fighting.
