I announced a few days ago that I am newly and proudly certified to be a Women's Health/Pelvic Floor Therapist ☺️

🌺There are very few Women's Health Therapists in our little community, so it is perfectly understandable that a lot of people have been asking me what a Women's Health Therapist can help with....

Women's Health and Myofascial Release (MFR) therapy is beneficial for women's by addressing various conditions such as:

🌺Pregnancy and Postpartum Recovery: MFR can alleviate lower back pain and pelvic discomfort before after childbirth and can help prepare the body for birth.

🌺Pelvic Floor Dysfunction: It helps improve conditions like pelvic pain, painful in*******se, pelvic organ prolapse and incontinence by releasing fascial restrictions.

🌺Menstrual Pain: MFR can reduce menstrual pain and improve overall pelvic health.

🌺Infertility: It may assist in overcoming infertility challenges by enhancing blood flow to reproductive organs.

🌺Endometriosis: MFR helps break down fascial restrictions and adhesions that contribute to severe pain.

🌺Breast Health: Mastectomy pain, lymphoedema, reconstruction/surgery and scar pain or adhesions.

🌺Orthopedic Issues: Coccyx (tailbone) pain, pelvic pain, hip pain, lower back pain can all be addressed with MFR

While I do understand that women's health can be a sensitive topic...many times we don't feel comfortable talking about it, but at the end of the day, the truth is that we are simply talking about soft tissue...fascia, tendon, muscle, ligaments as well as structures like nerves, blood vessels and lymphatics...there can be tightness or pain or scars just like in any other area of your body that needs therapy. We aren't embarrassed to talk about back pain, are we? And who among your healthcare providers has the most knowledge about your soft tissue and anatomy....your local Occupational Therapists and Physical Therapists!!!!
