Memorial Service for Chief Michael Phillips

We invite our community to come together in remembrance of Chief Michael Phillips
of the Marble Falls Area Volunteer Fire Department.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the end of watch for our Chief, Michael Phillips.

Chief Phillips passed away in the line of duty while responding to a call for service in the early morning hours of July 5th, 2025. At this time, he remains missing.

He was more than just a friend, mentor, and leader — he was our family. His absence will leave a void in our hearts and our department that cannot be filled. We will honor his legacy and the extraordinary service he gave to our community by continuing to be the first responders he strived for us to be.

We love you Chief.

We extend our deepest sympathies to Marble Falls Area Volunteer Fire Department as they cope with this tragic loss. Our thoughts are with you during this difficult time.

At this time, we simply do not have the words to express our deep gratitude for the outpouring of support and resources we’ve received during the ongoing search for Chief Phillips.

Engine 5522 has been placed in front of our station for those who wish to pay their respects. Your kindness and solidarity mean more than we can ever say. This is truly a nightmare, and we remain hopeful for closure in the near future.

We will continue the search for Chief Phillips with unwavering determination. Please keep us in your thoughts, and we will share any updates as soon as we are able.

Meals are being served at the Ark warehouse all week- breakfast, lunch and dinner from 8am to 5pm. The Ark also has cleaning, muck out, hygiene supplies and more available for anyone affected by the storms. Thank you to the countless donors who have been bringing in so many supplies. It is amazing to see the community taking care of each other.
