REMINDER: The City of Jackson reminds the community that during the first week of October, Cemetery crews will collect and dispose of all spring and summer flower arrangements, along with any broken or deteriorated decorations, in Russell Heights Cemetery and the Old City Cemetery. If citizens wish to preserve any old arrangements or decorations they currently have at a gravesite in either cemetery, they should remove them PRIOR TO OCTOBER 1.
Please know, however, the City will leave in place the flowers that friends and family have just put out for the fall and winter seasons.
To ensure cemetery grounds are kept clean and welcoming to visitors, this task is completed during the first week of March and October every year.
