Pain gives you purpose.

I heard this in a song lyric the other night and I can't stop reflecting on how powerful these words are.

Pain is a window into the shadows that we try to hide from. And when I'm referring to pain, I'm referring to the resistance we feel in our minds when something is HARD.

The first thing I do when I feel pain, is I pause and step outside of myself. WHY am I experiencing this resistance? WHY is this so hard. 9 times out of 10 it's not the physical work but the mindset behind.

Our thoughts drive everything in how we execute and what we feel and receive.

That doesn't mean we should try to solution our mindset with rainbows and butterflies. It's hearing what needs to be heard, understanding the true challenge at hand (self doubt, fear, etc), and navigating it with trust and courage.

This is what brings PURPOSE to the pain. You become incredibly intentional with how you care and hold space for yourself in that moment of resistance.

This is what I'm the most proud of in completing Hyrox singles Boston last September.

Caring deeply and holding space to be seen, supported and held with unshakeable trust when I confronted moment after moment of pain. Everything was incredibly intentional and held with great purpose.

Pain gives you purpose. It shines that light on what you need to see. ✨✨✨

What I'm celebrating latey
✨Trusting my intuition and not making rushed decisions.
✨Not letting my mood get in the way; letting discipline carry me forward.
✨Prioritizing rest over more caffeine
✨Enjoying movement without it having to build or peak or prepare for the next thing; letting it support my life
✨Staying committed to my sacred morning practice (light a candle, pull oracle/tarot cards, write intention and letter to myself).
✨Baking, so much baking! And sharing the joy of it with my kids.
✨Creative writing (more to come on this!)
✨Putting my visions and things that "I want to do that but I don't feel ready" from last year into action 🔥

Always important to take a moment to pause, reflect, and recognize your effort. Notice this list isn't about output but the input ❤️

What are you proud of in how you’re caring for yourself right now?

I had so many mixed feeling about this picture when it was taken 13 years ago. I was early into my teaching career, had the honor of being chosen to be ambassador for the chestnut hill store (this was part of their ambassador photo shoot), and I was figuring out who I was as a teacher.

Now looking back and reflecting, I exactly know why. This picture felt so raw. It felt so vulnerable. As I built my teaching career in the early days I focused so much on being liked, on being "popular", of having the classes that people liked. My smile is what I felt comfortable hiding behind.

As I head into this new era, this is picture is the EXACT energy I'm bringing with me 🔥 I'm no longer afraid of being me. Of being liked.

I'm ready to not just care deeply, but with complete vulnerability.

So LFG! 🔥❤️

I can't even tell you how excited I am about this year and all that the offerings that I'm planning ✨✨✨
Forever grateful I get to do this work 🙏❤️

Close out the year with a sweaty, smile-heavy vinyasa party that feels like a celebration on your mat. We’ll move through an upbeat, dance-like flow to honor what 2025 brought you, then shift into heart-forward intention-setting for 2026. Expect great music, a strong flow, and a final grounding reset to help you step into the New Year clear, confident, and lifted.
