Otterbein Marblehead is a faith based, non-profit continuing care community. We offer Independent Living, Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, Rehabilitative Care, Memory Support, Transitional Care, Respite Care and more. Our North Shore Community Features

-Ranch-style homes, apartments, assisted living, nursing care. Our homes are grouped in neighborhoods, modern, safe, and comfortable spaces with 24-hour security call systems.

-The Jane Baker House. Our campus boasts the prototype of the innovative "small house" skilled care neighborhoods, rated number 1 in the state.

-Cornerstone Cottage
There are no long, sterile hallways, no standardized mealtimes or activities, and no restricted visiting hours. Instead, Otterbein’s small houses accommodate up to 10 elders, each one empowered to make their own decisions about the day’s schedule. Guests who are looking for a short-term inpatient therapy or rehabilitation location can also choose Cornerstone Cottage. We can provide the care you need to help you achieve your goals and get back to your best health.

-Designed for active lifestyles. Exercise options, parties and dining, a library, woodshop, art studios and learning opportunities keep things lively!

-A vibrant social scene. Attend an event in historic Lakeside. You are always near the action!

-Easy to get out and about. Take in a lakeside symphony. Tour a local winery. Ride the ferry to the islands. Fish from the pier. We could go on and on!

-Choices and amenities galore. There’s so much going on, we publish Northern Lights, a calendar of programs and events to keep you in the know.

-Life Enrichment. Every North Shore resident meets with an activities counselor to create a plan for personal development.

History is on the move — and it’s stopping right here at Otterbein Marblehead! We are the March host of the America 250 traveling exhibit, and it is already on display in our new LEC! This offers a unique look at the people, events, and moments that shaped both our nation and our local community.

Residents, families, and visitors can explore this exhibit and learn about stories that connect national milestones to Ottawa County’s own rich heritage. For a little extra fun, you can enter the Ottawa County Jeopardy‑inspired prize drawing by answering trivia questions.

Today we hosted our very first chili cook-off and it was a hit! 🌶️ Residents and partners brought their best recipes, with a total of 8 delicious chilis for everyone to sample. After plenty of tasting and tough decisions, we ended with a tie for first place between resident Janet R. and Sous Chef Bryan!
