Village Organic Garden otherwise known as "VOG" is the transformation of the courtyard space at the Village School (grades 4-6). The motivation for creating this garden is to enhance the educational curriculum, to promote healthy nutrition habits, and to increase interest and awareness of food sources. The long term goal for VOG is to be a viable, sustainable, organic garden that also includes an outdoor teaching space.

So much “growing” on in the VOG and Village School this summer! Principal Williams and the office staff are busy planning for next year! Thank you to 4th grade GS Troop 64458 and Troop leaders Kristine Gummere and Amie James for their donation of a smart bird house with camera. And Thank you to Chris who help us with the install! Today 5 classes of students came out to the VOG to help with our final harvest. They picked over 75 # of red and green tomatoes, 10 # of squash, 7 # of carrots, 1.5 # of beans, 50 # of watermelon and 20 # of eggplant.
