Fresh Milled Chalupa shells! AMAZING
3 Cups Fresh milled flour (we used hard white and sprouted kamut)
1 1/2 Cups warm raw milk
1 Tbsp Baking powder
1 Tsp Sea salt
2 Tbsp of Butter
Mix for 5 minutes, then let the dough rest 5-10 minutes. Divide into 8 pieces. Roll into flat 6-8” circles. Perforate the dough and add to hot oil. Flip the dough and fold in 1/2. Fry each side until golden.
I should have take a picture of fully constructed chalupas, but they didn’t last long in our house of 6. This was the last remaining chalupa shell. Each of our teenage boys only at 1. They’re very filling.
