Our hearts are with our sister base, Alabama Life Saver 5, which had an incident on Sunday afternoon. We went on a short safety stand down to help support our teammates, but we are back in service and are ready to serve the community with the highest level of clinical excellence. We want to provide an update regarding an incident involving our Alabama Life Saver 5 aircraft on Sunday in Evergreen, AL. Three crewmembers were on board. Two remain hospitalized in stable condition and are receiving excellent care. The NTSB, along with the FAA and Air Methods, is investigating the cause.

🔥 As we prepare for colder temperatures again this week here are some heater safety tips to stay warm & safe! 🔥
* Keep heaters at least 3 feet away from anything flammable
* Never leave heaters unattended or on while sleeping
* Turn heaters off before leaving the room or house
* Make sure heaters have automatic shut-off and tip-over protection
* Install and check smoke & carbon monoxide detectors regularly

Jackson County Fire Rescue has been named the 2025 Rural EMS Provider of the Year by the Florida Department of Health, a statewide honor recognizing excellence in emergency medical services.

This award reflects the dedication, skill, and compassion our Fire Rescue crews bring to every call, often in challenging rural conditions where access to care is limited and every decision truly matters. The honor was presented during the Excellence in Emergency Medical Services Awards Ceremony and accepted on behalf of the entire organization by Fire Rescue leadership.

This recognition belongs to every member of the Fire Rescue team who serves Jackson County with integrity, professionalism, and heart, every call, every time.
