Jackson Hospital’s Board of Trustees, Administration, and Medical Staff recently came together for a Strategic Planning Meeting focused on the future of Jackson Hospital. Discussions included service line development, physician recruitment, and exciting growth plans for the Golson Campus.

The first project to break ground will be the Chipola Therapy Center, coming in the next few months!

We were also honored to have Mary Mayhew, President and CEO of the Florida Hospital Association, join us for dinner and share valuable insights on healthcare across the state.

Congratulations to Jackson Hospital’s Own Rural Health Hero!

Jackson Hospital is proud to announce that Kaye Robinson, Director of Infection Prevention, Employee Health, and Emergency Management, has been awarded the 2025 Rural Health Hero Award for Healthcare Hero by the Florida Rural Health Association (FRHA)!

Each year, FRHA invites the community and rural health advocates from across the state to nominate individuals they view as Rural Health Heroes in eight categories. Kaye was nominated for her compassionate service to rural health communities and was selected by the FRHA Board of Directors for the Healthcare Hero Award.

This honor recognizes professionals in medicine, nursing, pharmacy, dentistry, and social work who provide exemplary care and service to Florida’s rural communities.

National Rural Health Day, celebrated on November 20, is an opportunity to “Celebrate the Power of Rural” by recognizing the dedication and community spirit that drive rural healthcare. Kaye embodies this spirit through her leadership, compassion, and unwavering commitment to improving health outcomes for rural residents.

Jackson Hospital and CSMS Clinics’ staff had a spooktacular time celebrating Halloween!

From creative door decorating contests to a facility wide Halloween social and of course, plenty of fun costumes -it was a frightfully good time for all!

We’d also like to give a shoutout to Medical Solutions, one of our valued vendors, who hosted their own Halloween costume contest!
We’re proud to share that our Pediatric Clinic took 2nd place, and our Emergency Department Team earned 3rd place!

Congratulations to all and thank you for making this Halloween such a treat!
