About Massage...

People ask me all the time how I decided to become a Licensed Massage Therapist...its a really great story and I am going to share it here and I hope everyone who reads this is inspired to get a massage because life happens and when it does it might be just the miracle you are looking for. Some know this story but many do not know this but I became a first time mom at the age of 41. I was newly married and not expecting to get a bundle of joy. I had always longed to be a mom but my body was not in agreement. And after many doctor visits I was told that it would never happen. Talk about being broken. For my husband he was fine with this as he already had children and was ready to end that journey and take on the new one with me...and then one day surprise we got the news. It was well extrodinary and a huge adjustment for everyone involved...My son was born premature and he was born with a mild form of Cerebal Palsy due to his tramatic birth, and when he was 5 months old he started going to physical and occupational therapy...I thought hey why not become a Physical Therapist. So, I checked into it...the amount of time for schooling did not appeal to me as a new mom so I thought what else could I do to help my son? I looked into Massage Therapy and behold a love match was made...I have been a Therapist for almost 10 years, and it has truly changed my life. Everytime I work on a client and they experiece relief from their pain I am amazed. I see each session as a miracle where I get to see the King of the Universe show up and do something that I have no words for. Many people do not believe in healing or in God, but I do because I see His healing hands at work everyday. I see my son walk, run, jump, and play sports, I see a young man who has a huge brain that thinks wonderful things. I see healing happen in my clients everyday and the joy they experience is beyond words for them and for myself. Life comes at us with no rules and no limits to the pain and suffering that we as humans are forced to endure, and I believe that Massage makes this life we live easier to manage more effiecently the suffering and pain we have to endure. My son is now going on 11 years of age, and massage is a big part of his life. If he realizes its potential than I believe that you can too.
