Mindful Marietta

Mindful Marietta Practicing mindfulness meditation and building a community together. Mindful Marietta is a meditation group based in Marietta, Ga.

We meet every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month at the Sewell Mill Library in the community meeting room. We are dedicated to creating a space where all people can participate in a community, practice meditation together, and feel they belong. We practice mindfulness meditation. We begin most meetings with a meditation, followed by a short instructional talk, and we end with discussion and Q&A. We welcome people from all traditions, spiritualities, religions, and secular backgrounds. No one needs to be a Buddhist or anything else to show up or be a part of the group. We are focused on developing and investigating practices that lead to the happiness and well-being of ourselves and others, instead of a set system of beliefs. Meditation instruction and group facilitation is provided by Richie Essenburg.
