Skin influencers.. The biggest lie is that one miracle product or routine will work for everyone overnight. Many skin influencers claim that following their “perfect” routine guarantees flawless, glowing skin with instant results.

In reality, healthy skin is a personalized journey that depends on your unique skin type, genetics, lifestyle, and consistent care. Before becoming a licensed esthetician, I used to believe those quick-fix promises—listening to commercials and others’ advice—until I learned proper, tailored routines in school, and the results were immediate. Even as I fine tune my skills & continued education there’s no way a skin influencers can compare to me, years of experience, or my wellness spa. I made this mistake—don’t do the same!

Before I became licensed, I used to rely on commercials and word-of-mouth advice, and I never saw real results. Once I learned the proper routine for my skin type in school, the transformation was immediate! I now never go to sleep with makeup on, use harsh ingredients, skip steps, or discontinue my aftercare protocols after a peel.

Skipping even one step—or using products that aren’t recommended—can disrupt your skin barrier and undo the benefits of your facial. Imagine investing in your skin, only to slow down or reverse your progress by using the wrong products or neglecting aftercare. Your skin thrives on consistency and the right ingredients!
