What began as a bold idea ended in two joyful graduations celebrating the success of Live to the Beat, a year long heart health pilot at Mount Olive Seventh-Day Adventist Church and First Baptist Church East Point. Powered by Wellstar and supported by our Center for Cardiovascular Care, the program helped participants lower blood pressure, reduce medications and build stronger support systems. Now, graduates continue their journey through monthly “social prescriptions” with Art Pharmacy, connecting wellness with creativity. With recognition from the CDC Foundation, this pilot proved that heart health is not just clinical, it is cultural, communal and a lifelong commitment.
