💜 In observance of International Overdose Awareness Day, the team at MedMark Washington, PA created a space of remembrance, education, and community support.

We set up a table with purple ribbons, popcorn, and goodie bags filled with resources about our programs and services. Patients and loved ones were invited to write messages on paper hearts and hang them on our Memory Tree, a powerful symbol of hope and healing. 🌳💔

Together, we honor those we’ve lost and continue working toward a future free from stigma and overdose.

💜 In honor of Overdose Awareness Day, our team at MedMark Treatment Centers Perryopolis created a space of reflection and remembrance. Patients were invited to write tributes to loved ones lost to addiction, helping foster connection, healing, and hope.

We shared resources including Narcan, offered cake and soda, and set up an informational board to raise awareness about overdose prevention. This event also opened the door for important conversations about community support and recovery, including the upcoming Fayette County SCA Recovery Walk.

Recognizing an overdose can save a life and you don’t have to be a medical professional to help. 🚨

With opioid-related deaths still rising, knowing what to look for and how to respond is more important than ever.

Key signs of an opioid overdose include:
🔹 Blue lips or fingertips
🔹 Shallow or stopped breathing
🔹 Unresponsiveness
🔹 Gurgling or choking sounds

Here’s what to do:
📞 Call 911 immediately
👃 Administer naloxone (NARCAN) if available
💨 Begin CPR if needed
🧍 Stay with the person until help arrives

Whether you or a loved one is at risk, being prepared could save a life.
