Tonight we pause for the Solstice… On this, the longest night of the year, we are called to celebrate hearth, home, and the accomplishments of the year before. This eve marks the turn of a cycle, where are days grow longer and our nights shorter. But, it’s a very long night. Looking for light in the midst of so much darkness seems daunting for certain. Yet, we have a hearth, we have accumulated much, we are in community, and the promise of the light cannot be forgotten. Warm and rest yourself, pause to breathe in this beautiful moment. Allow your fires to burn warm and bright, allow your loved ones to draw near. The memories of yesterday’s successes will fuel tomorrow’s dreams. Tonight, we celebrate and rest.
