Meet Megan, a third-year Biology student at Life University and president of the TriBeta Biological Honor Society! Her research with Dr. Andrew McIntosh focuses on rodent skeletal morphology - specifically the pectoral and pelvic girdles - which she recently presented at the 86th Annual ASB Conference in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Megan was drawn to research as a natural problem-solver: “I’ve never been the best at rote memorization or traditional testing, but give me a novel challenge and my brain lights up.” She applied to RISE to pursue research without the financial burden of academics but says it’s become so much more - connecting her to mentors, training, and opportunities she didn’t know she needed.

Outside the lab, Megan is a student-athlete on Life U’s swim team and a Resident Assistant on campus.
