Welcome to our first Catching Up with the CCR — your October Update highlighting some of the things we were up to last month! 🍁🧠
- The CCR team got festive for Halloween, dressing up as peer reviewers — complete with anonymity glasses to stay “on brand.”
- Dr. Kia shared her passion for research with future researchers and healthcare providers, inspiring the next generation.
- We took part in the Consent Carnival, connecting with students and sharing information about CCR involvement.
- We connected with students at the CGUS Student Engagement Fair, sharing opportunities to get involved in CCR projects.
- We had three research publications accepted! Keep an eye out for their announcements soon.

Meet Dr. Michael Longyear!

He is speaking at our upcoming C3 Neuro Conference at Life University, November 7–9.

Dr. Michael Longyear, DC, DACNB, CCSP, is a board-certified chiropractic neurologist and sports physician specializing in functional neurology and neurorehabilitation. He leads the Brain Optimization Institute in Jacksonville, FL, and consults for Life University. Formerly Clinical Director at the NeuroLIFE Institute, he advances neuroscience education globally, including in China. Known for evidence-based care and practical teaching, Dr. Longyear is a respected international speaker dedicated to enhancing brain performance and recovery.
