Mary came to us after a fall at her assisted living facility that resulted in a hip fracture. When she arrived, she was experiencing significant weakness, pain, and required maximum assistance with transfers—and was unable to walk.
With the help of our incredible therapy team at Broad River Therapy, Mary has made truly remarkable progress. Today, she is completing transfers with stand-by assistance, walking over 150 feet, and performing her daily activities with minimal assistance. She’s even able to stand for up to 6 minutes during functional tasks!
We are so proud of Mary’s hard work and determination, and grateful to have been part of her journey back to strength and independence. She is planning to return to her assisted living community next week—and we couldn’t be happier for her! 💪
