Cooking is a great way to increase language skills!

We can narrate: I’m so hungry. Let’s cook some chicken! That’s hot, ouch!
We can model: Eat pancakes, pour it out, put in, on the stove, cold milk, yummy pizza, etc.
We can pretend: Our client’s pretend to be a chef, server, and customer!
