I recognize the great need for more education and support for pregnant and new moms. My goal as a mental health provider is to stand up to the stigma associated with mental illness for anyone struggling, so that people will feel more comfortable seeking help.

Let’s be real—this picture is planned, curated, and timed just right. But life as a mom? It rarely looks like this. 😅

Behind every picture-perfect moment are a million imperfect ones: the tantrums, the messes, the days when patience runs out, and we feel like we’re barely holding it together.

We try so hard to keep everyone happy, balance all the roles, and stay calm, but sometimes it feels like it’s never enough. And the guilt? It’s real.

Here’s what I’ve learned: our kids don’t need ‘perfect.’ They need present. They need us—just as we are, messy moments and all. They need connection. And you can’t give them this if you are constantly trying to do ALL THE THINGS.

Believe me, I study this. I LIVE this. 💛

If you’re ready to ditch the cycle of over-doing, running yourself into the ground, feeling completely depleted and resentful and finally feel calm and confident in your motherhood journey, you’re in the right place!

Let’s talk about restful sleep. 😴

We all know it’s essential, but actually getting it can feel impossible.

Here are a few small but powerful tips that make a huge difference in helping you get that deep, restful sleep you need: (and click my link in bio to get more FREE tips and tricks to get better sleep!)

🌆 Create a Pre-Sleep Routine: Just like kids need a bedtime routine, so do we! Dim the lights, avoid screens, and do something relaxing, like reading or gentle stretching.

⏰ Set a Consistent Bedtime: Going to bed at the same time each night helps your body develop a natural sleep rhythm, which can improve the quality of your sleep over time.

📱 Limit Screen Time Before Bed: Blue light from phones or TVs can mess with your melatonin, making it harder to fall asleep. Try to wind down without screens at least 30 minutes before bed.

🌿 Practice Deep Breathing or Meditation: Simple breathing exercises or a 5-minute meditation before bed can help calm a racing mind, making it easier to drift off peacefully.

💧 Avoid Late-Night Caffeine & Sugar: They can sneakily keep you awake longer. Stick to decaf or herbal tea after a certain time to avoid that late-night energy spike.

Start with just one of these tips tonight, and see how it feels. Sleep is self-care, and you deserve to wake up feeling rested and refreshed. 💖 Let me know which tip you’re trying!

Struggling with racing thoughts and feeling constantly overwhelmed? You’re not alone. 🌱

I used to be right there—always on, constantly juggling, my mind never at ease. But here’s the truth: simple practices can make a huge impact when it comes to calming your mind. ✨

💤 Prioritize Sleep: Getting enough rest is a game-changer for your mental clarity and resilience. Your mind needs time to reset, so treat sleep as a top priority.

🧘‍♀️ Single-Tasking Over Multitasking: Focusing on one thing at a time can feel radical, but it’s grounding. This small shift helps you feel accomplished without the stress of juggling everything at once.

🌌 Embrace Silence: Even just a few moments of quiet can calm the noise in your head. No phone, no tasks—just a break to breathe and reconnect with yourself.

Each of these is simple but powerful. Which one will you try this week? Comment below! 💖

“Well I’ve always had some form of anxiety most of my life…” is what 99% of my clients tell me in the very first session. And I can TOTALLY relate!

As the first born daughter, the kid “no one had to worry about”, I figured out how to achieve: get the grades, land the awards, check every box on the list. If it had a finish line, I was sprinting toward it. 🏆

But then I became a mom… and let’s just say there are no medals for 'most diapers changed' or 'longest night survived without sleep.' Motherhood took my perfectly organized world and flipped it upside down—no checkboxes, no ‘A for effort,’ no finish line in sight. Just the raw, real moments that can’t be planned, scored, or perfected.

So if you’re here wondering if anyone else is winging it, overthinking it, or using humor to get through it…welcome. This is where we keep it messy, honest, and yes, a little sarcastic, because we’ve earned it.

Here’s a fun fact about confidence: It’s temporary. Like that fair-weather friend who only shows up when things are perfect. 🤷‍♀️

For so many of us moms, confidence is only around when:

✨ Our home is spotless
✨ We feel great in our body
✨ The kids are acting like angels in public
✨ We’re crushing it in our career

The problem? When even one of these things goes sideways, so does our confidence! 🚫

Cue the spiral of comparison, guilt, blame, and shame. Ew. 🤢 How is that supposed to work, right?!

If you want a more stable sense of confidence, you’ve got to go deeper. 🌊

Real confidence starts with being comfortable as YOURSELF – not needing everything around you to be perfect.

Imagine all the brain space and energy you’ll get back to focus on what truly matters! 💆‍♀️❤️

If this resonates but feels tough to do on your own, you’re not alone!

In my Calm Mom Program, I help women just like you let go of perfectionism, people-pleasing, overthinking, and comparison.

Ready to feel solid in who you are?

About My Expertise

I specialize in parental mental health...and you may be asking ‘what IS that?!’ Through research, we now know that it is not only WOMEN who experience postpartum depression. It is both MEN AND WOMEN who can experience MORE than just depression and it can occur during more than just the postpartum period. Whether it be infertility, during pregnancy or postpartum, we know that 1 in 7 women will experience a perinatal mood disorder, which can include depression, anxiety, OCD, and even psychosis (very rare, and requires immediate intervention!). We ALSO know that 1 in 10 dads can experience this!

Whether you are struggling with infertility, or you are a new mama or dad, you may be navigating the transition into parenthood, or really at any phase along the parenting journey, I work with you to feel validated, less overwhelmed, supported, and helps you develop helpful skills that you can put to use in your daily life to ease anxiety, depression, or stress!

As a mama of three boys very close in age, and a survivor of a perinatal mood disorder, I offer a very supportive, welcoming, nonjudgemental approach to therapy. I have not only the wisdom that my training has offered, but the wisdom that life has offered me. If you are struggling, I encourage you to reach out! It is not your fault, and there IS help for you! xo
