First, the Susquehanna River, specifically the area at the 40th parallel, is a physical place on the Earth that has influence on the entire planet. the brain, the pineal gland, the heart), the planetary body is influenced by the Susquehanna River location. This fact has been known by those ancient civilizations that lived on the land we currently think of as North and South America. The river’s sacred location was also held by those inhabitants who lived in the area just prior to European colonization. As demonstrated by the John Smith Map of 1612, the very first colonists knew of the Susquehanna’s significance, too. Since that time, many mystical, esoteric societies (Rosicrucian, Freemason, and Theosophist) have built symbolic structures near the Susquehanna River with the awareness of its importance to the planet’s consciousness. Second, humanity is the midst of a 100 year transition into a techno-life form. Collectively, we are moving towards an existence on Earth that is very different from how humans have previously lived. It may seem impossible to envision, but the date given for the completion of this shift is 2045, and it is fast approaching. Futurists and technophiles refer to this eventual crossover as The Singularity. The world’s first general, programmable computer, which went live in 1945, reveals that this ongoing transition is rooted in alignment with the Susquehanna River. The computer was installed very near to the banks of the river at Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Aberdeen, MD and was named ENIAC by those who developed it. Phonetic similarity to Enoch, the subject of many Jewish and Christian writings, is not lost. There is a consistent thread of connection to Biblical texts in the naming of many computing firsts, confirming the spiritual significance of this technological shift. Consciously interacting with the river during this time of great transition serves both the individual and the collective. May you live in interesting times…and so it is. Human existence in this time period provides an opportunity for tremendous growth. Our evolution occurs when the accumulated emotional baggage of being human transforms in a being and brings about wisdom, strength, and compassion. This is alchemy. The Susquehanna River has always been a sacred place of healing. Now more than ever, the shift already occurring in mass consciousness is supported by human efforts to connect with this energy. Susquehanna Alchemy’s magic is that of grounding our personal healing to this location on planet Earth. By consciously integrating the human process of transformation with the river here and now, we manifest the triumph of this evolution ever so completely.

From a soul-based, or higher spiritual, perspective, the Kobayashi Maru test is the ultimate PURPOSE of life in human form.

From a personality-centered perspective, the Kobayashi Maru test is the ultimate PROBLEM of life in human form.

The Kobayashi Maru test, as a term, originated from an episode of the 1960s television series Star Trek. It refers to a simulation where characters are presented a crisis and are forced to make a very difficult decision.

Esoteric, or soul-based, astrology honors crisis as the means for soul growth and the development of wisdom and deep compassion on the personality level.

The Kobayashi Maru test is THE peak crisis: when our deepest fear, the thing we have been avoiding our entire lives, come face-to-face with outer reality.

This eventual showdown builds throughout a lifetime, often triggered by key transits (Saturn’s return at age 30 and Uranus’ opposition at age 42), and is unique to the individual in both degree of intensity and ‘how and where’ in life it manifests.

The nature of our unique crisis can be identified through difficult placements and/or hard aspects with certain planets found in the natal chart.

Astrological markers become character traits when personality strategies developed in childhood become unconscious behaviors as an adult. (this is how we all do it)

These behaviors are inherently false as they were “created” as means to survive life. Eventually they must collapse if true self expression and actual freedom (life without personality strategies and full soul expression) are to emerge.

The Kobayashi Maru test is a major crisis, of our own making, for our own good, with no consideration of the personality’s desire for comfort. It may take place in outer reality, but it is always an inner event.

Our Story

The Susquehanna River is the biggest mystery of our times.

For over 400 years, members of secret societies and mystical organizations have used the Susquehanna as a large-scale altar for the ancient practice of River Goddess Worship.

The Age of Aquarius is said to be unfolding. The qualities associated with the Aquarian Age are innovation, electricity, the human being and the collective. Life on Earth is aligning to Aquarian concepts through computer technology and globalism. Both were introduced to the planet on the Susquehanna. This can be thought of as offerings to the River Goddess.

Additionally, at the River’s three endpoints (two source locations and the mouth) are annual secular festivals that fall on ancient holy days (Lammas, Imbolc and Beltane).
