Grief is a difficult journey, and it's okay to acknowledge just how hard it can be. Understanding the natural cycle of grief can help you feel more prepared when navigating your own experience.

Allow yourself to feel the pain—it's a necessary part of healing. Grief can bring unexpected emotions and triggers, and that’s completely normal. Be patient with yourself.

Accept your feelings without judgment and know that seeking support is a sign of strength, not weakness. You don’t have to go through this alone. Healing takes time, and every step you take—no matter how small—is a part of that process.

In times of deep grief and emotional pain, it’s important to give yourself the gift of pause. When our hearts are heavy, clarity can feel out of reach. The emotions, reactions, and symptoms we experience can cloud our ability to make sound decisions. If you can, allow things to settle. Let yourself breathe, reflect, and heal before making major life changes. With time, peace often brings perspective—and with perspective comes choices made with greater confidence, clarity, and care. 🤍

Grief can be draining--physically, mentally, and emotionally. Taking care of yourself is crucial for the healing process. Self-care allows you to acknowledge your feelings and process your emotions instead of suppressing them.

Remember to eat well and get adequate amounts of sleep in order to replenish your energy. Going for a walk outside can be calming and allows for a time of reflection on your feelings and emotions.

Give yourself time. Healing is a journey. 🤍

Grief is like flower petals. Each is delicate and fragile, but beautiful in its own way. Each petal may look different and feel different, but there is beauty in imperfection. When all are brought together, they can create something really beautiful and transformational.

If you are struggling with your loss, we encourage you to seek support from a Grief Group. Talking to others who are going through the same emotions, even if they may look different than yours, can be so comforting. Many local churches provide support through GriefShare, a support group to help you move through the process of grief with others. We have heard stories from many who went to GriefShare and the transformation that it brought to their life. www.griefshare.org
