As technology continues to grow, many people are exploring new tools for emotional support, including artificial intelligence. We’ve been reflecting on what this means for mental health, especially when someone is feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or vulnerable.
AI can sound supportive and reflective.
But sounding therapeutic is not the same as providing care.
We recently shared two brief articles that explore:
• The ethical limits of AI for mental health support
• Why accountability and clinical judgment matter
• How professional therapy differs from automated responses
• When human, relational care is especially important
>> One article is written from a general mental health perspective.

>> The other reflects how these same concerns show up in
faith-integrated care.

Both are offered to support informed, thoughtful decision making, not to promote or discourage the use of technology.
At HPPGA, we believe healing happens best through relationship, discernment, and ethical care that honors the whole person, mind, body, and spirit.
If you have questions about what kind of support is right for you, our licensed therapists are here to help.
