Grant research funding update: Tuesday December 12th, we’ve exceeded our initial $40K goal by 13%. And this is a great thing as the Grant Application Deadline is Today—no joke!!!!
On behalf of professor Ibrahim Moustafa and myself and CBP NonProfit, we wanted to give a HUGE THANK YOU to all the doctors who stepped up and helped fund this important project. I will show the list of donators later today in this post once I have it available.
We are not done with the fund raising for this as the project may in fact be more expensive than projected, so if you have not donated to this ground breaking research project please consider doing so.

https://app.donorview.com/Donation/DonationInfo?prm=ZG8lMck7jhwKFu32w2-UL9ksZYH7Z4JPfojsBAjkht3pQEcjnJ3accldoZhbWKcNkaz6JIQRJOQJrx5Hb0MlbpWzxm6n-SuW7IBW_UIlpGnwjMZ9A9zeJLcR5Cfsc3gnQIRr1sPv4SAk-E-mf6GPWetf-9uaHXjPVP5lvaxLZi4ZOzsjStOyDb9wDSbK3y9UZ65Xxux9eL1xW349jZX3DZ40LiU_aPEeqK-Re4seyeARS-PzZBKeKv1WFGajiQa30

Again, even $50-$100 greatly assists. I know, I know, I’m on repeat— but if the 2000 members in this group did that we would have $100K-$200K for this and other projects. Some of you are incredibly generous and have donated a few thousand to this project— I won’t list that but again, a heart felt thank you. Without the support of CBP doctors, there would be no CBP NonProfit and there would be no reason for me to keep collaborating on these types of important research projects. Professor Ibrahim Moustafa and I have an incredible vision and goals for the future of corrective care research but this won’t be possible without the support of Ibrahim’s University, his Grad Students, his supporting Professors, and I cannot do this without the support of YOU CBP DOCTORS.
Thank you seems trivial but that’s all we’ve got,
Deed and Ibrahim

LIFETIME GOALS ACHIEVED: Publish in a Nature Journal and identify a valid model of subluxation and nerve interference!
My Co-authors and I, led by Professor Ibrahim Moustafa, (along with Aliaa Diab and Fatma Hegazy at Cairo University and Sharjah College of Health Sciences UAE) are so excited to be published in such a prestigious journal.
Here’s the link to our teams new article. You can down the article for free at this link:

Our publication was just released in Scientific Reports (a Nature journal), which is the 6th most cited journal in the world!
This study is literally among the few valid models demonstrating that correction of spine subluxation (displacement or altered alignment) improves neurophysiology. We used valid and reliable Spine Radiographic measures and cut points for abnormal alignment in 80 asymptomatic persons to determine the presence of subluxation (defined as loss of the cervical curve and anterior head translation. We randomly assigned 40 persons to a placebo and 40 to the Denneroll cervical Orthotic known to improve spinal alignment. Neurophysiology was measured using validated equipment and techniques specifically looking at central conduction time (spinal cord velocity under somato-sensory evoked potentials).
Following 30 treatment sessions of a placebo vs. the Denneroll, we found that spine correction occurred in only the Denneroll group. The result was maintained at 3-month follow up.
More importantly we built a multiple-regression model confirming that increasing the cervical lordosis and reducing anterior head posture, linearly correlated with increased spinal cord velocity! In other words: each degree of lordotic correction added to each millimeter improvement in forward head posture results in faster central conduction processing times— your nervous system is faster snd more efficient.
Pretty awesome. My team and I are so proud and humbled by our work. We believe the results of this study will go along way to improve the treatment of patients with musculoskeletal disorders and to improve the function in people who are not suffering symptoms but just need a boost in “life energy and efficiency”!
Have a great day!

A randomized controlled study was conducted to evaluate the effect of rehabilitation of the cervical sagittal configuration on sensorimotor integration and central conduction time in an asymptomatic population. Eighty (32 female) participants with radiographic cervical hypolordosis and anterior head...

Lumbar Rehab Module 5 from CBP’s Certification Course Series is now online.
—the course can be taken for CE or without CE.
Please Read This Before Asking Questions:

1. You will receive full credit for attending the seminar once you complete the 9-10 hour program online. I have completely updated the course and it is awesome---but that's just my opinion.
2. Several States have been submitted to for CE. It takes time To get approval nationwide --
—-Some states automatically approve through the PACE program. While other states take 30-120 days to approve a program because they are GOVERNMENT and it takes time.
3. You can watch the course and then later, after the course is approved in your state, Go Back to Your account and hit 'Upgrade to CE' and then automatically it is upgraded for a fee and you have to take the test questions to get CE.
So watch now, get CE later if you want.
4. Module 6. Thoracic rehab will be live next week. 5. By end of May, CBP general certification courses Mods 1-6 can be taken online.
5. However, NO- -Module 7. Hands On Workshop will not be online as the name implies it is a Live Course. So you have to attend this still and take the hands on test for General Cert.

The cervical Denneroll: What is it, what does it do, and where do you find one?

Randomized Trials Using the Cervical Denneroll Device Indicate Radiography Based Correction of Cervical Curve and Forward Head Posture Improves Patient Pain, Disability, and Function.

In this video series, Dr. Deed Harrison presents a short overview of 5 published randomized trials he and his research colleagues from Cairo Egypt and the UAE have performed. These trials tested the clinical utility of the Denneroll to improve the cervical curve and forward head posture as measured via spine radiography or xrays. Furthermore the clinical significance of X-ray post treatments compared to standard or non X-ray based treatments were investigated for their respective effects on patient relevant outcomes measures. Importantly, these trials clearly demonstrate that patients who are randomly assigned to receive and who attain spine correction are the ones the have better longevity of improvements in their pain, disability, movement, as. Neurological function.

Straightened cervical lordotic curves linked to fibromyalgia patients. Makes sense to me considering that my friend and research colleagues Ibrahim Moustafa previously published their randomized trial indicating that correction of the cervical lordosis using the Denneroll improved long term outcomes of patients with chronic Fibromyalgia.

Introduction to our Radiography Benefits vs. Risks review / commentary in the Journal Dose Response 2018. Use of spine radiography for structural rehabilitation of the spine is an evidence based practice in corrective chiropractic, when properly used spine x-ray alters diagnoses and interventions, and published evidence indicates interventions based on spine x-ray alignment do improve patient relevant outcome measurements. A cornerstone CBP publication released today!!! Congrats to Dr. Deed Harrison, Dr. Paul Oakley, and of course the late Dr. Don Harrison for many of the original ideas. FREE PDF at this link.

Abstract
Radiology has been a cornerstone for the analysis of spinal alignment for over a century. Although there has been a movement within chiropractic to reduce the use of x-ray, this runs counter to both traditional and current biomechanical evidence-based subluxation models. We present evidence supporting the scientific basis of 6 contemporary subluxation types that currently underpin the basis for routine radiographic examination for biomechanical data related to the diagnosis and treatment of patients in modern chiropractic practice. We also discuss how these 6 types of subluxation satisfy Nelson’s criterion and achieve valid subluxation theory status.
