Memorial Health System is an equal opportunity provider and employer. Company Overview
Memorial Health System is a not-for-profit health system that strives to provide local access to health care for you and your family. Our system encompasses multiple campus locations and provider clinics throughout the Mid-Ohio valley. We also have three hospitals, a home care agency, an occupational health program, and a foundation.

- Marietta Memorial Hospital is a community hospital where service excellence and clinical quality create the region’s best experience for patients and their families, physicians, the community and our employees.

- Selby General Hospital is a critical access and advanced orthopedics hospital located in Marietta, Ohio. The medical staff, nurses and other health care professionals all function as a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless delivery of care for all patients.

- Sistersville General Hospital is a community hospital and the newest addition to our system. Located in Sistersville, West Virginia, patients have access to Memorial's world-class care without the drive.

- Physicians Care Express is an express care facility to be used in those situations when “life happens." At our two locations, you can expect walk-in care with the same co-pay as your family doctor’s office. Physicians Care Express is located in both Belpre and Marietta, Ohio. Description
Marietta Memorial Hospital Corp. was formed in 1921 by a group of local citizens who saw a need for a large, centralized health care center in the community. The undertaking would be a memorial to Washington County residents who lost their lives in World War I, these pioneers decided. A massive community fundraising and organizational campaign came to fruition when, on July 9, 1929, the hospital admitted its first patient. Marietta Memorial has responded through the years to the changing needs of the region, adding to its structure and services to meet the health care expectations of its patients. Today, the hospital and its affiliates offer a lifetime of care. At Memorial Health System, some amazing things happen each and every day. Not only are we touching hundreds of lives by the dedication, expertise and compassion of our people and their abiding commitment to quality patient care, but we enhance quality of life in other ways, too. As a leading employer in the area, Memorial Health System is committed to investing not only in the quality of health, but also quality of life in the communities where we live and work. We have donated millions in charity care to those in need every year and continue to invest in a way that supports the lives of our friends, neighbors and our own families. Congratulations to our January Volunteer of the Month, Sharon Hutchinson! 💙

“Although Sharon is a relatively new addition to our volunteer family, she has quickly become an invaluable member of the team. As a former employee of our health system, she brings extensive knowledge of hospital locations and workflows, along with strong, positive connections with many staff members.

Sharon approaches every shift with a warm smile and an uplifting attitude. She is a dedicated, hardworking volunteer who is always willing to take on additional tasks when needed. Beyond her regular responsibilities, Sharon goes above and beyond by knitting hats for infants and medical oncology patients—an act of kindness that beautifully reflects her generous spirit. Sharon is a true superstar, and we are incredibly grateful to have her back in the Memorial Health System.”
