What proper hydration actually does:

Stable blood sugar = stable mood, energy, and cravings! 🎯

If you're tired of feeling like you're on an energy roller coaster all day, these simple strategies can completely transform how you feel.

Why blood sugar balance matters:
When your blood sugar spikes and crashes, it doesn't just affect your energy - it impacts your hormones, mood, sleep, and even your ability to make decisions (hello, 3pm candy bar craving!).

My favorite game-changers:
✅ Protein within 1 hour of waking
✅ No naked carbs (always pair with fat or protein)
✅ Movement after meals (even a 5-minute walk!)
✅ Prioritizing sleep (this one's HUGE for insulin sensitivity)
✅ And the most important EAT MORE PROTEIN!

Protein is far more satiating than carbs or fats. If you increase your protein intake to 100-130g per day, I promise you it will be hard to overeat carbs and disrupt blood sugar stability.

The goal isn't perfection - it's consistency. Pick 2-3 of these and focus on those until they become automatic.

Healing happens in the space between restriction and chaos 🌸

This is what REAL nutrition looks like - we get so wrapped up in following the next "trend" or obsessing over restricting various foods because of the potential toxins or harm we hear about in the media.

Unpopular opinion: it's okay to have a little seed oil every now and then. Staying hydrated from a plastic water bottle is better than ingesting a few microplastics if that's all you have in the moment. You don't need to cut out dairy because you heard it's inflammatory if you tolerate it well.

Gentle nutrition means:
🤍 Curiosity over control - "How does this food make me feel?" vs. "Is this allowed?"
🤍 Nourishing without obsessing - Eating for energy AND enjoyment
🤍 Choosing foods that support you - Both physically and emotionally
🤍 Releasing all-or-nothing thinking - Progress, not perfection

The result? A sustainable relationship with food that actually supports your health goals instead of sabotaging them.

This approach takes courage because it means trusting your body's wisdom over diet culture's rules. But it's the only way to create lasting change.

This powerhouse vitamin is working behind the scenes to keep you looking and feeling your best year-round. Think of it as your body's internal fountain of youth.
Why your skin (and entire body) craves vitamin C:

Your body can't make vitamin C, so we need to get it from food daily. Nearly every cell in your body needs vitamin C for various processes; it does far more than just boost immune function.

Your adrenal glands are the storage hub for vitamin C in the body. Stress actually depletes vitamin C more quickly, which is why you might notice your skin looking dull during periods of stress.

Best sources: Bell peppers, strawberries, kiwi, citrus fruits, and leafy greens. Aim for a rainbow of vitamin C sources throughout the day!

Fiber is your gut's best friend AND your blood sugar's bodyguard 🛡️

These four powerhouses do so much more than keep you regular (though that's important too!). Think of fiber as your internal cleanup crew - working 24/7 to keep everything running smoothly.

Why I'm obsessed with these foods:
🌱 Chia seeds - Slow-release energy that prevents blood sugar crashes. They're also mucilagenous, coating the gut and feeding microbes.
🌱 Lentils - Excellent addition to a Gut-Healing soup to boost fiber content
🌱 Berries - Antioxidants that fight inflammation while feeding good gut bacteria
🌱 Oats - Beta-glucan fiber that actually helps lower cholesterol

Ideally, we should be eating 30-30g of fiber per day. The average person eats less than 10g 😓 . These fiber sources make for an incredibly easy addition to nearly any dish.

Plot twist: Many health issues aren't from eating too much, but from chronic under-fueling. Your body is incredibly smart - when it doesn't get enough energy, it starts shutting down "non-essential" functions.

These symptoms are your body's SOS signal:

🚫 Your body goes into conservation mode.

Instead of obsessing over numbers, let's tune into the wisdom your body already has. These simple shifts create sustainable changes that actually LAST.

This is intuitive eating. It's natural wisdom we all possess, but sadly, it's easily silenced by the hyperpalability of ultra-processed foods

Here's what happens when you focus on quality over quantity:
