Since 2004, our center has been a facilitator of comprehensive mental health care to families in the metro Atlanta region, serving Child, Adolescent and Adult clients. The research division is currently inactive in 2021. Outpatient clinical care begins with psychiatric evaluation necessary to identify mood and behavioral health disorders. Options for conservative medications management are discussed with clients and caregivers when appropriate and consistent with excellent standard of care. Referrals to psychologists, therapists, research participation, inpatient care, and cutting edge treatment options facilitate the building of a full treatment team for those individuals who would benefit from comprehensive mental health care. IFBM Research is proud to have been an active research site for major pharmaceutical companies. Ashraf Attalla, M.D. is our Director of Clinical Research. Clinical research is necessary to the process of obtaining FDA approval for medications used in treating a variety of mental health disorders. Our site is dedicated to important clinical research studies needed to determine the effectiveness and safety of new medications as well as new uses of approved medications. Clinical medication trials at our site provided an alternative to standard clinical care for clients struggling with moderate to severe mood and behavior symptoms that required intervention. Recent research studies have enrolled volunteers in studies designed to evaluate new medications or new drug indications for ADHD, Anxiety Disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Bipolar Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, Schizophrenia, and Fibromyalgia. Participation includes a focused evaluation and medical safety exam at no cost to the participant. Eligible participants accepted into trial participation received study medications at no cost, and travel reimbursements. Our site is currently inactive and in process of relocation.
