Boundaries are not punishments or ultimatums. They're invitations- to connect with you in a way that's safe, respectful and real.
For many of us, especially if we've learned to people-please, setting boundaries can feel uncomfortable- even selfish.
In truth, boundaries are a kindness. They are honoring your needs, letting people know how to be in-relationship with you and promoting authenticity.
This post touches on how you begin to notice your limits, how to express them with care and how to hold them gently but firmly over time.
Whether you're navigating anxiety, adjusting to Parenthood or just trying to feel more grounded in your relationships- boundaries are an essential part of healing and growing.

Fear is the most common obstacle, bind, hindrance I hear about in my practice. If fear is the chains holding you in place, know that you've had the key the whole time. Feel the fear and do the thing anyways.

I love this imagery so much for how it ties into FEAR. I often use the metaphor with my clients that Anxiety thoughts// the "what ifs ..." lead us to the cliff, but we don't look down or around, we don't realize we have tools, a parachute, wings, etc or that the "Cliff" isn't actually a cliff. And that we need to open our eyes, look at cliff (scary things), and keep moving- jump, to convert the fear into an experience 💖

This one stopped me. This doesn't mean you have a precise gatekeeper that only allows pleasant, happy, calm emotions in, but we are all very skilled at avoiding the unpleasant ones.
All of our emotions are real, are part of us, and will shift. So when we can practice Noticing, and Naming our emotions, then we can better Tame /regulate.
