How I Hit 15,000 Steps a Day in Europe (and Why Your Body Deserves the Same!) 🚶‍♀️🧠

Did you know that just adding more daily steps can help balance blood sugar, boost mood, support digestion, and reduce your long-term risk of disease? It’s not about gym hours - it’s about moving your body throughout the day

Here’s how I’m bringing those 15K steps back to LA:
🚶‍♀️ Take the stairs whenever possible
📞 Turn calls into walking sessions
🛒 Park far away at shops
☕️ Walk to grab coffee or groceries
⏰ Stand up and march every hour for 2 minutes
🏃‍♀️ Try an under-desk treadmill while working
🌳 Schedule hikes or long walks with friends

Why it works: Small daily movements (called NEAT - Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis) help keep your metabolism active and your body functioning better - without structured workouts!

Was talking to a friend about her 4th of July plans and she goes,
“I’m not eating much all day so I can enjoy the BBQ guilt-free tonight.”

And I was like, wait, why do we still do this?
Like seriously - skipping meals, saving up calories, stressing over what we’ll eat later
It’s a holiday, not a test

We know the lines by heart now -
‘Enjoy your food’
‘You don’t have to earn it’
‘You don’t need to burn it off tomorrow’

But honestly, when are we actually going to start living like that?

Imagine just showing up to the party feeling good, not hangry, not overthinking every bite, bringing something you love, eating what you like, and not making it a big deal

That’s the kind of freedom we need more of
Not just on July 4th - but every damn day!

I used to think I had to show before and after photos to prove my clients were making progress because that’s what everyone on the internet was doing right

But then I started noticing something
The biggest wins weren’t showing up in photos

They showed up in moments like
✨ Finally eating carbs without guilt
✨ Sleeping through the night after years of tossing and turning

Bingeing is NOT because:

Let’s talk about the other side of “hitting your macros”

You’re tracking your protein, crushing workouts, maybe even seeing the scale move —
but your period is MIA, your cravings are through the roof, and you think about food… all the time
