This summer, after the recent loss of our dear Teacher, Chakra Institute is offerering a first-time online Purification Retreat with carefully selected recorded materials from Sri Shyamji’s lectures, his sacred sounds from previous retreats and enriching live classes led by senior students.

As fundamentally divine beings, we are all designed to be joyful and content. There is no need to settle for less. The stresses of life, however, often sabotage us with negative thinking, emotional issues and physical toxicity.

Dear Chakra Institute Family,

Ram Ram. Our beloved father, Sri Shyamji Bhatnagar, left his body on April 30, 2025 at 6:10pm in Culver City, California. His transition was peaceful. He was comfortable and calm and took his last breath with a slight smile. Shyamji taught all of us many valuable lessons over the years and his memory will bring us comfort during this difficult time. We would like to invite all of you to attend his pooja and cremation on May 10, 2025 at 10am in Long Beach, California. The ceremonies will be available via zoom and I will share a zoom link with all of you next Thursday. For those who would like to attend in person, the location is:

The practices will be tailored to the needs of the aspirant. They may include:
· Mantras selected for your present state.
· Learning to identify and work with your fundamental note.
· Training in how to apply discrimination in listening and perceiving musical tones, by hearing the songs of great singers.
· Svadhyaya (self-study practice) tailored to the requirements of the individual aspirant.
These may be adjusted throughout the week, as you experience the transformation.
· The tambura as an evolutional tool - learning to tune each string of the tambura and how to apply your personal mantra. A harmonious voice is unnecessary for this practice, just the desire to learn.
· How to stimulate the pineal gland through tratak meditation, including best practice in preparation of the ghee lamp.
· Creating your own sattvic living environment. How best to take the sacred knowledge from your special week, to your home and life, to sustain and continue your transformations…and more!
