All of us, the massage therapists at Marina Massage, hope this correspondence finds you healthy, safe and well. We are reaching out to you due of the new Stay at Home Order that went into effect Sunday, December 6th for our region.

According to the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), massage may still be provided, indoors with modifications, in the Regions subject to the Regional Stay at Home Order, if it is provided based on a referral from a physician or chiropractor, and the county/city allows it. Our city (City of Culver City) allows this.

“Medical Massage is massage that is done based on a referral from a doctor or chiropractor. Medical Massage can be done indoors as it is considered essential as healthcare and therefore not under personal services. There is no requirement that it be in a medical office only that it be done based on a referral from a doctor or chiropractor.”

Our facility therefore remains open for 'medical massage,' naturally following all existing health requirements and protocols. The new Stay at Home order mandates 100% masking and social distancing. We all adhered to those standards from day one during the Covid-19 pandemic. The safety of our clients, their families and our team continue to be our primary goal.

We continually monitor the updates and guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control, California Therapy Council and Los Angeles County Health Department.

By the terms of the current lockdown, we will continue to offer 'medically recommended' massage, by appointment only - adhering to the full regimen of safety and sanitary protocols (details below) we've had in place since March.

We're Open!

In full accordance with the Latest Reopening Protocol of the Los Angeles Department of Public Health - we formally reopened our doors again on August 10th - now with breezy, OUTDOOR CABANA OPTIONS (see photos)! We've missed you. We can’t wait to see you and help you relax and stay healthy!

Your safety is our top priority. We’ve kept our space squeaky clean while you’ve been away, and have made some upgrades to make our facility safer. We’ll continue to do so and thoroughly sanitize all rooms and equipment before, during, and after each appointment. For more information on our new protocols, head to our FAQ page.

A few business updates:

Please note that we are requiring everyone to wear face masks in our facility at all times.

We’ve staggered our appointments and reorganized our cleaning/sanitizing protocols. That way, we can minimize contact between each client and allow for 6 feet of social distancing, when needed.

We’ve updated our pricing to help offset some of our additional cleaning, sanitation, and supplies to keep you and our staff safe.

We’re no longer taking walk-ins to ensure our waiting area is safe and social distancing guidelines are followed. Please call ahead, or book online.

We have a new intake and checkout process. We’ll send you all the details when you book.

July 1st, and are ready to welcome you back. We can’t wait to see you and help you relax and feel your best!
