We get by with the help of our friends in the form of hip CARs, abduction work, and a little kinetic horse stance
In our Kinstretch class today, we explored external and internal rotation in a bear sit (not shown), mainly working to improve the load bearing capacity of the inner and outer hip tissues with PAILs
We did a hip CAR variation whereas our head was helping us constrain movement in the spine, trying to keep a pushing action driven from both the head and the feet to rebound length through the rest of the spine
We also explored how these tissues move your hips in a bigger context with 9090 transitions, frog PAILs and PAILs RAILs, internal rotation and spine segmentation in frog, and finished with a gem taken from .performance in a kinetic horse stance (last slide).
We used external rotators to pull us down and hip internal rotators to push up, keeping tension continuous, and noting the effect on the pelvic floor tissues.
The hard work here makes you feel better with the other things you like to do with your body.
There was lots in class that didn't get filmed. Be sure to check out a Kinstretch class at Power Yoga East on Mondays and Fridays 9:15-10:30am
