Roots and Wings Parent Coaching

Roots and Wings Parent Coaching Parents are innately connected and care for their children. Sometimes, however, we get stuck. Gail I seek to promote those values in my own work and advocacy.

I understand that becoming a parent is one of the most challenging and transformational experience that an individual will have. I respect the different choices that parents make in deciding how to best care for and meet the needs of their new family member. I appreciate that families grow in a variety of different ways, and that everyone’s story is different. I believe that all families deserve to be empowered and encouraged. It is my sincere hope that I will positively influence the confidence and abilities of every parent (caregiver) who uses me, increasing their satisfaction as a parent. I envision a society that values and supports parents, children, and families. I have a vision that every new parent will have access to loving and nonjudgemental support and guidance. I believe that there is no one fix for all families when they are challenged with their parenting. Together we will examine temperament, how the family “fits” together, review the overarching ages and stages of development, and create solutions that work for your family. No matter what the age your children are or the stage of parenting you are in, we will work together on customizing and personalizing strategies that will help your family find or regain balance and joy. Some of the topics that you may be interested in include:

Infancy is a special time when the brain is extra sensitive to the environment.

In the first 3 years of life we have the opportunity for nurture to physically build the emotional brain, the stress system, neurotransmitter systems and gut health.

Our babies will leave infancy with a brain and body set up for stress resilience or not.

They will have what I call - Post Infancy Stress Resilience - OR - Post Infancy Stress Vulnerability OR something in between.

With Post Infancy Stress Resilience babies have the best chance at lifelong mental health. They can regulate stress, use their cognitive brain in school and work, navigate relationships, process emotions and access their full potential.

When babies are given freedom to be immature, dependent and needy they grow up to be mature and independent.

Expect your baby to need you intensely for at least 3 years. I want you to know that in all of the hard moments Nurture can be your North Star 🌟 And though we might not be close, this community is always cheering you on.

Talking with our little ones builds connection and helps their brain grow. 🧠 But it can be hard to know how to start the conversation. Try asking questions to get them talking. For questions to ask and a fun game you can play, visit https://bit.ly/4gr0Kbv
