You work hard to maintain your home, building, or land. You get up early before work on a Saturday morning to make sure you water the grass you are attempting to grow. You go around the corner and yet again there is someone’s trash. They enjoy your hidden stoop so they can eat their pizza and salad. Heck, they may have even napped, smoked a little, or more. Then just like you were raising a teenager that refuses to pick up after themselves, they leave their trash. Most likely they walked right past my wide open dumpster that we choose to not lock up in the hopes that people actually dispose of their trash.
Oh and the beautiful wall that holds the mums is another great hiding spot for them, but they always seem to spill their drinks. Maybe you are lucky enough to pick up their cigarette butts or empty 24oz beer can. In 20 years or so I may have enough aluminum to pay a weeks worth of maintenance expenses for the building.
This is in no way a political view or bashing of any sort. This is a business owner who has taken great pride in the ability to transform older buildings, but still working constantly to make sure those buildings are not full of trash or worse. Oh and I haven’t even began to describe some of the things that we have picked up or had occur around our buildings.
This town is seeing tremendous growth which I anticipate will continue. Let’s just hope we can have nice things without them getting destroyed or abused. Keep the pride of Marion growth continuing and support your businesses!
