In the midst of a crisis.
Every home is different. Perhaps in the manner there is one care giver, one that most the hardships are placed upon when living with someone and their abilities. The role is never a easy one. It is tiring, consuming, and rewarding. Quite a roller coaster 🎢. Depending on the diagnosis, situation, individual, etc. Family, friend, mediators are great to accompany. I highly recommend educating one self, or as a family, on the many ways that everyone can work together and perform the greatest service to the member needing it. Obviously monetary is always needed, knowledge on avenues for insurances, programs that specialize in the field of the ability also. Noone should feel alone!
Is communication lacking? Is it hard for the one with abilities to reach out? Make their voice count! Ask them how they would like to set a system up acknowledging their needs, their fears, questions etc. The more they feel everyone excepting of them, and showing them their value. Alot happens internally that surpass negatives.
My prayers for your journeys.
I'm always available for prayer request and more.
